Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 28, 2026

Round Tower Software Studios Limited ("us", "we", or "our") makes the Mariachi Rumble game for phones and VR headsets (the "Game").

The short version

Mariachi Rumble collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting and no third-party tracking in the Game. Our game server passes gameplay between players and keeps nothing about you.

What stays on your device

The Game saves a few things so you can pick up where you left off:

These live in the Game's private storage on your device. They are never sent to us, they are not backed up off the device, and uninstalling the Game deletes them.

Playing with friends

The Game asks for internet access for one reason: multiplayer. When you choose Host or Join, your device connects directly to another device at the address you typed, usually one on the same Wi-Fi. Only gameplay passes between them: where your skeleton is, which instrument it holds, and when it swings. No name, no account and no device identifier are sent, and nothing passes through us.

Our game server

You can also join a match on our public game server, so that friends on different devices can play together. It runs on Google Cloud in Belgium. Only gameplay passes through it, the same as between two devices: where your skeleton is, which instrument it holds, and when it swings.

To send the game back to you, the server has to see your device's internet address while you are connected, as every server on the internet does. It does not write that address down. Its only log says when a player joined or left, identified by a random number chosen afresh for each connection, and how many players were in the match. No account or device identifier is sent to it.

Your name in a match

You can type a name for other players to see over your head. It's optional; leave it empty and you appear as "Mariachi" and a number. If you choose one, it's sent when you join a match so the other players in it can see it. The server checks it first, and a name it won't show is replaced with "Mariachi" and a number. It holds the name only while you're connected, forgets it when you leave, and never writes it down.

If you never Host or Join, the Game makes no network connections.

Children

The Game is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

App stores

When you download the Game from a store such as Google Play or SideQuest, that store handles your download and account under its own privacy policy. We don't receive any personal information from it.

Changes to this policy

If the Game ever starts to collect anything, we will update this page and change the effective date above before that version is released.
